Connect Advocate Mediate Learn Community

Welcome to Our Online Community Portal!

Welcome to the Kids Managing Conflict (KMC) Community! KMC, SCMA Education Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) and the charitable and educational arm of the Southern California Mediation Association (SCMA). We are honored to be a part of SCMA which is the premier professional society for mediators in California.

This virtual platform is meant to provide a space for peer mediators, educators who coordinate or support peer mediation programs, peer mediation alumni, parents of peer mediators, and those who are interested in starting or joining a peer mediation program to connect, collaborate, communicate, and build community. The goals of this platform are to:

  1. Create a supportive space for those connected to the peer mediation community in the past or present who would like to remain connected.
  2. Create a supportive space that centers the voices, concerns, and solutions of peer mediation and other restorative practices.
  3. Provide a space with resources for those interested in creating or joining a peer mediation organization at their school or in their community.
  4. Provide a space for past and present supporters of peer mediation to connect, network, and collaborate on cross campus projects and goals.

At KMC, we know that there is a vast, diverse, and brilliant community of people who span across the globe dedicated to improving their communities through peer mediation and other restorative practices. We hope that this online community can strengthen all of our missions by unifying our efforts to actualize a world of peace and justice. So, please, join us by signing up and engaging with us and each other!
